Avengers assemble for data sovereignty
I’m in the middle of my own data archive project and I’ve been exploring more ways to diversify storage. Something I’m considering that I haven’t done before is to use the interchangeable computer M.2 drives as another way to store large amounts of data in one place more efficiently.
However, along with that comes the need for more education on how to work with them and which ones are more advantageous, etc.
I’m much more well versed with simple plug and play SSD drives and USB sticks. For those, there is no learning curve for me. That being said, drives can fail, so having a more diversified system is advantageous.
I’m still learning about how to work with the m.2 drives and how to select the best enclosures for me, etc. but I’m excited about the possibility of having another tool in my hypothetical Swiss army knife of storage devices.
