I’m so excited for this comeback
Why digital computing dominated for so long:
-Smaller transistors
-Higher clock speeds
-More parallelism
But modern computing is reaching its energy limits and there are some things that can be done far more efficiently with analog than with digital.
I’m learning more and more about this, and I have to say that I love this trend. As an amateur radio ham operator, I’m learning to work with analog circuits so that I can better understand how computers work at the lowest level. This gets me excited for potentially working with more circuit designs in the future. I’m on the edges of it now with my understanding, I’m just beginning to put it all together, but I like what I see.
