Mid-Month Maintenance Round Up October 2025

Alright, let’s see what odds and ends have ended up in the “needs attention” box for the month….

Ok, ladies and gentleman, without further ado this month we have:

-Vacuum cleaner base; this vacuum is modular (one of my core values in products), so I’m able to isolate the problem I’m having to one joint. The vacuum will no longer stand on its own because the plastic stop part is worn down or something. I’ll get a closer look at it and see how to address it. I’m also taking the time to deep clean the bristles, check this filter thing to see if it was worth it, and just spruce it up a bit.

-Broken French press glass; no repairing here, replacement is the only option. I’m putting it on the list for my next thrift store trip and if I don’t find one I’ll buy it from somewhere reasonably priced online.

-External chargers/power stations; need to clean them up a bit and charge everything; while I’m at it I’ll check on how many batteries and other things I have for power outages/natural disasters

-Clothing pieces that need to be mended- I have several pieces that just need a few stitches to get back in working order. One of my robes needs more attention, as the ribbon lining has detached from a good portion of it, so I need to reattach it. It’s simple but will take a bit longer than the other things

Whew! Lots this month, and the thing is, when you get to looking around, you start seeing all kinds of things that need work! Maybe I should do this twice a month….
